About Giving Up...

So recently, I've been doing a lot of reading. You know, Nicholas Sparks, Nora Roberts, and some other great authors. But as I finish these books, I wonder how could the author have made them different? How a normal, non-fantasy book could become fantasy? Could a book be written like it's a text conversation for the entire book? I sat down and thought to myself, why don't I try writing my own book or story? Not as easy as I thought. It took me hours to come up with an idea, and it was still quite the cliche idea. So I thought, hey, I'll write a fantasy book that is about a girl and a boy who text eachother all the time. Except these two people are some sort of mystical creatures. Needless to say, I threw that idea out the window. All that I could think was, "Dude, I stink at this." So I just gave up. But then, I started to watch this show called "Dance Academy," which is about ballet. I fell in love with it, and now I will be taking up a ballet class soon. Instead of giving up, I moved onto a new hobby that I think I'll be better at.

Oh, and here is a picture of batman riding a rainbow unicorn. That's pretty much the idea of my story. Batman would be the guy the girl was texting. Like I said. I have a weird brain....

Brought Together - A Film By Nicole Russell

I have created a film in Performing Arts class that focuses on cancer. It has taken me a while to actually create my film, and I actually started off with 5 actors, which includes myself. I am now down to three, and I am still making it work. My film is dedicated to my mom's best friend, who I was very close with. She passed away from cancer. The reason I am making such a serious film is because I don't want my senior project to be something I made on a whim, and made it silly. I laced some humor within the film, because this woman, Ann, was a riot! I miss her everyday. My other two actors, David Resnick and Emily Clancy, were there for me when Ann passed, and I felt they would understand very well, why I wanted to make this film. I miss you everyday Ann. In Brought Together, David plays Dmitri, my brother, who hasn't told his sister that he has cancer and is going to die within the next few days. They are on the run because Lacey, my character and the sister, is being stalked. Her best friend Sierra, which is Emily, is there with her.

Thunder

Do you know what thunder is? Thunder is the sound caused by lightning. Depending on the distance and nature of the lightning, thunder can range from a sharp, loud crack to a long, low rumble (brontide). The sudden increase in pressure and temperature from lightning produces rapid expansion of the air surrounding and within a bolt of lightning. In turn, this expansion of air creates a sonic shock wave, similar to a sonic boom, which produces the sound of thunder, often referred to as a clap, crack, or peal of thunder. The distance of the lightning can be calculated by the listener based on the time interval from when the lightning is seen to when the sound is heard.

Photoshop Tools

In photoshop, we have a really handy tool called the magic wand/quick selection tool. I could easily enough use this tool to photoshop Sarah K and I taking a selfie with a celebrity if I had enough patience and was not lazy. Maybe i will someday, but eh.

Prom 2015

This year, TLC had a really fun prom. But before we went to prom, the girls had a lot of fun getting ready together. As we are all friends, we got dressed together, and took prom pictures together. The school prom had three different drinks, delicious catered food, and great music provided by Spotify and Jen Lamoureux. But here are just a few pictures of us girls prom ready!

ChatBots

Real or Artificial Intelligence?
Recent times have brought many types of chatbots, such as Cleverbot, Evie, Elbot, and so many more. I believe that some of these chatbots are very good at disguising the fact that they are not human. Not to say that the grammar is good, because the grammar is horrible sometimes. I do not think any of the chatbots I saw today could ever be passed off as human. I don't think they could be passed off as human because it's just so unrealistic. When you meet new people and they talk to you, it's a normal conversation, hey how are you? While, when asked where the chat bot lives or what the temperature is, there is never a clear response.
